Name:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>Nathan Jonas Jordison Bands:<\/strong> How else does one become as good on drums as he is? Very sure of what he wants and how he plans to get it. Joey can be seen on the front cover of Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat. \u2013 the picture is called \u2018Patiently awaiting the jigsaw flesh.\u2019<\/p>\n In his freshman year at Waukee High School, Joey was part of a band named, \u201cAvanga\u201d. However due to a lack of motivation from other members, Joey looked elsewhere \u2013 Music was his only escape. Joey soon started a new band with his neighbor Tim, the band was named \u201cModifidious\u201d.<\/p>\n It was a \u201cspeed-metal-thrash\u201d band and 15 songs were written in quick succession. Soon a bassist, Ryan, was found along with a guitarist named Jay (formerly of Avanga). The band, with new guitarist Bruce, had their headlining slot as a support to future Slipknot guitarists Jim Root\u2019s band, \u201cAtomic opera\u201d at the Runway. Bruce soon left Modifidious to join Atomic Opera and as a result a new guitarist was required. His name was Craig. Then another drop out came to Joey\u2019s band; Tim left in the summer of \u201992. Josh soon left his band to join Modifidious as a vocalist and filling Tim\u2019s spot.<\/p>\n This new line up soon put out a quick demo which was recorded within Joey\u2019s basement and mixed in Craig\u2019s house. It held the name of, \u201cVisceral\u201d. Following this demo in 1993, the band played a few shows with a band that Shawn was in called, \u201cHeads on the Wall\u201d. This was followed by another demo, \u201cMud Fuschia\u201d and later a CD, \u201cSprawl\u201d.<\/p>\n By this CD, Joey claimed the band was, \u201cKings of Des Moines\u201d, pulling up to 200 people per show and playing lots of performances shows. However the band began to go down hill with the new grunge wave and loosing popularity of Thrash opposed to Death Metal. The new Des Moines band had become Body Pit, Paul\u2019s new band. Due to a lack of interest the band broke up in 1995.
